Academics
Academic & Career Planning (ACP)
A student-driven, adult-supported process for post-secondary success.
Academic and Career Planning (ACP) is a student-driven, adult-supported process in which students build informed visions for post-secondary success through self-exploration, career exploration, and the development of career management and planning skills.
Why Academic & Career Planning?
We want graduates ready to thrive—prepared for employment, post-secondary education, and life. As students grow, they learn how to adjust plans and goals to meet new opportunities and challenges.
Mission
Empower ALL students to travel the road to adulthood through education and training to careers.
Vision
Reimagining K-12 education so students have strong adult relationships and the adaptability to navigate opportunities and challenges on their personalized journeys to successful lives.
Our Academic & Career Plan
At the School District of Holmen, ACP centers on four major themes:
- Know — Know yourself: interests, skills and abilities, and how you learn and work best.
- Explore — Explore opportunities and revisit options often.
- Plan — Create a plan to reach your goals and revise it as needed.
- Go — Put plans into action and recalculate as needed.
Hallmarks include Individualized Planning, Family Involvement, Community Participation, Education for Employment, and Access for ALL students.
